Sohu.com Game Service Department moved to Jingyan Hotel of Shijingshan district in west Beijing on June 18, 2008, infusing new vigor and vitality into the area's digital entertainment industry development.

Zhou Maofei, vice-secretary and chief executive of Shijingshan district, said the district will focus on developing the creative cultural industry and digital entertainment industry. He hoped the beautiful environment of Shijingshan district can promote the development of Sohu.com Game Service Department, and that the dedication of the Sohu.com game team would bring new energy to Shijingshan district. The Shijingshan district government said it would support the portal in every way possible, and hoped the company would continue to grow.

Zhang Chaoyang, board and directors' chairman and CEO of Sohu.com said, boosted by new technologies, half of Sohu.com's total income now comes from its gaming services. The Game Service Department represents the most thrilling prospect for Sohu.com. Its move to Shijingshan district cannot be successful without the leadership and supervision of the Shijingshan government.
