On the third day of the Beijing Olympics, the volunteer booth at Haite Hotel in Shijingshan District attracted residents nearby for setting up an Olympic metal counts billboard, which shows results and medal counts in time.
China got its first gold on August 9th. Volunteers at the Haite Hotel presented the Olympic metal billboard at the volunteer booth. They used their mobile phones and laptops to go online and followed the games closely.
The board will not only show the last news about metal counts, but also the ongoing sports of the day.
After the billboard was presented, many passersby would stop and ask about the latest information. A warm-hearted elderly even provided the updated Olympic news to the volunteers.
Suggestions were also put forward as to post TV viewing schedules on the board.
