Recently, a special event of the "Foreign Diplomats Experiencing Beijing" series was successfully concluded at Shougang Park in Shijingshan District. Ambassadors, commercial counselors, and science and technology counselors from 22 countries, including Bulgaria, Canada, Panama, South Korea, Switzerland, Türkiye, the United Kingdom and the United States, participated in the event. The event is aimed at building a new platform for international exchanges and cooperation, creating a new channel for opening-up, and establishing a new bridge for connectivity to help enterprises expand into international markets.
During the event, the participating diplomats visited Shougang Park, where they conversed thoroughly with company representatives to promote pragmatic cooperation. The diplomats stopped at the No. 1 Blast Furnace to learn about the revitalization of Shougang Park as an industrial heritage site. Specifically, SoReal Sci-Fi Paradise has ingeniously preserved the industrial framework while integrating technological business formats such as VR battles, holographic projections, and immersive dining, transforming the blast furnace where it is located into a vibrant new landmark for consumer experiences. RE International Memory Hall, a digital exhibition hall based on an obsolete warehouse, employs digital technologies to breathe new life into ancient Chinese culture. The diplomats praised the innovative concept of combining digital technologies with cultural heritage, considering it highly valuable and inspiring for reference.
At the event, representatives from Shougang Group and other enterprises in Shijingshan introduced their commercial progresses and international cooperation needs to the diplomats. The diplomats also tried innovative products presented by relevant enterprises and, with officials from Shijingshan and key figures of Shougang Group and other enterprises, partook in pragmatic discussions on economic and trade cooperation and technological exchanges.
