The cluster has successfully hosted multiple sessions of the China Science Fiction Convention and seen the establishment of China's first sci-fi industry consortium. China's first sci-fi industry fund was also launched here, with its initial investment made in the same place. The cluster is also home to the Beijing Yuanyu Science Fiction and Future Technology Research Institute, as well as studios for sci-fi celebrities such as Liu Cixin and Wang Jinkang. The cluster initiated China's first comprehensive sci-fi competition open to the global community, and built over a dozen public technology service platforms for motion capture, optical imaging, 5G+AR, spatial audio, and more. Among these, the light field imaging platform is the largest of its kind in China. The Metaverse Frontier Technology Experience Center has been completed and put into operation. Shougang Park's No.1 Blast Furnace - SoReal Science Fiction Paradise and China's first metaverse digital experience complex are now officially operational.
