Big Air Shougang

This was a venue for the 2022 Winter Olympics. Its sleek S-shaped structure creates a striking stylistic contrast against surrounding blast furnaces and cooling towers. When evening glow gilds these industrial constructions and cloud conditions are ideal, the sky shifts from pale blue to peach orange and then dusky purple. The whole color transition process lasts roughly 40 minutes, offering fantastic photo-taking opportunities.

Built upon the Big Air venue, the Wild Thrill Tower (顽酷心跳塔) offers climbing nets, rock climbing and abseiling experiences. From its summit, visitors can overlook the entire Big Air structure and scenic vistas around Qunming Lake.

High Line Park

Transformed from former industrial pipe corridors, it is now an elevated scenic promenade connecting the park's core landmarks. Walking along the path, visitors can view Qunming Lake, the Big Air Shougang, cooling towers and the silhouette of Shijing Mountain, with the full sunset panorama in sight.

Zhaomu - Wanghuxuan (朝暮・望湖轩) on the second floor is a brilliant viewing spot. It serves coffee and light meals in the daytime and turns into a lakeside wine bar after nightfall, where visitors can relax after enjoying the view of sunset.

Blast Furnaces and Xiuchi Lake

The No.3 Blast Furnace stands as an iconic industrial landmark of the century-old Shougang area. Its rust-red steel frames exude immense charm bathed in sunset glow. Transformed from the original blast furnace, the RE No.3 Blast Furnace Digital Museum unfolds the history of the steel industry via videos and interactive displays. The Blast Furnace Theater hosts immersive digital shows. The No.1 Blast Furnace - SoReal Sci-Fi Park provides VR and AR-powered space-themed experiences. After exploring, visitors can unwind at Furnace Core Café (炉芯咖啡) to enjoy a spaceship-style kitchen.

The "Shou - Wang Tian Gong" Beijing Space Exploration Center is situated within Xiuchi Lake Exhibition Hall. It encompasses 23 aerospace-themed areas, each featuring tangible, interactive and highly immersive popular science content.
