On May 24, the Shougang Park Beijing Shijingshan Yongding River Half Marathon 2026 will kick off at the intersection of Wuyijuchang South Road and Qunminghu Street. The event is now officially open for registration through three platforms: Digital Heartbeat (数字心动), Maramara (马拉马拉), and WAG (看个比赛). Registration will end at 17:00 on April 15, with an entry fee of 120 yuan per person.

This event will host 9,500 participants across two divisions: Men's Half Marathon and Women's Half Marathon. Centered on the theme of urban renewal and ecological integration, the race course starts on Qunminghu Street, winds through key urban roads such as Shijingshan Road, Gucheng South Street, and Hedi East Road, and ends at Lanshihu Ecological Park.

Applicants must meet specific eligibility requirements: they must have completed at least two races of 10 kilometers or more (online marathon results are not considered valid) since January 1, 2024, and must provide the valid race completion certificates during registration. In addition, participants must be at least 18 years old by January 1 of the competition year (i.e., born on or before January 1, 2008). Applicants are advised to prepare the necessary documentation in advance to avoid registration delays.

The finisher's medal for this year's event boasts an ingenious design, integrating the industrial heritage of Shougang Park with the spirit of running. Breaking away from traditional designs, it is shaped like a pocket watch. The medal also features a built-in NFC function, allowing runners to tap it with their phones to check their personal results immediately after the race.
