The 2026 Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF) will kick off on April 16. For the first time, the festival will adopt an innovative "Super Live Spots" mode, using cutting-edge technologies to broadcast key moments to audiences unable to go to the main venue in person.
The offline "Super Live Spots" are located across all 16 administrative districts in Beijing, as well as the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area. They will mainly feature two types of content:
1.The immersive "Super Live" live-streaming session via the BJIFF's official signal, which will include key events such as the opening red carpet, the opening ceremony, and the closing ceremony.
2. Streaming screenings and offline highlight reels, featuring selected films and trailers displayed on large-format screens throughout the festival.
