In the recently concluded first phase of the 2026 China Table Tennis Club Super League (Regular Season), Beijing Yidian Xindong Club made its debut in Dalian, marking the first time a Beijing-based club has returned to the league since 2020.

This year, the club has established its presence in Shijingshan District and brought Beijing's name back to the China Table Tennis Super League. It has played a key role in Shijingshan's efforts to attract high-profile sporting events, stimulate sports consumption, and enhance the district's influence.

This year's WTT China Smash, as a core premier event of Beijing's "Dual Olympic 100" sports event series, will be held at Shougang Park from October 1 to 11. In recent years, leveraging the ripple effect of the WTT China Smash, Shijingshan has been focusing on table tennis to build an urban sports brand that integrates professional competitions, public fitness, youth training bases, sports culture, and industrial development. The clubs partaking in the China Table Tennis Club Super League, as multi-functional nodes integrating top-tier competitive teams, event resources, and urban branding, are vital components of the district's initiative to become a "hub of table tennis champions".

Shijingshan will continue to host a series of table tennis events this year. These include table tennis leagues for youths, employees and community residents, as well as the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Table Tennis Invitational Tournament (京津冀乒乓球邀请赛). The total number of participants is expected to reach a record high, while new competition formats will be introduced to make the competitions more accessible to amateur players.
