On October 19, the 2026 Chinese Cultural Tour for Consular Officials of Foreign Embassies in China was launched in Shijingshan District. This year's tour was joined by more than 60 diplomatic envoys and representatives of cultural and tourism institutions in China from over 30 countries and regions.

At Fahai Temple, guests admired the millennia-old lacebark pines and the original Ming Dynasty murals. At Fahai Temple Mural Art Center, the original cultural relics paired with digital display technology offered everyone a brand-new viewing experience of traditional Chinese culture.

At the Humanoid Robot Data Training Center of Shijingshan, guests gained insights into how robots learn to work, by systematically learning about the processes of data collection, model training, and real-world application, and observing live demonstrations of robots grasping, organizing, and sorting items.

Afterwards, the diplomats moved to Yong Ding He Ji (Yongding River Market) in Shougang Park and strolled along the waterfront trail. Verdant shorelines, industrial relics, and leisure businesses coexist in harmony there, forming part of the charming urban landscape of Shijingshan. Along the way, performances such as traditional martial arts of western Beijing, dahuagun (flower stick dancing), story-telling drum performances (Shaobai school), and the local Taiping drum performances were staged.

The Chinese Cultural Tour for Consular Officials of Foreign Embassies in China is a cultural and tourism exchange activity for the diplomatic corps in China. Since its first edition in 2016, it has invited diplomatic officials in China to visit places such as the Palace Museum, the Prince Kung's Mansion, and the National Museum of China, presenting to them the charm of Chinese civilization, as well as the country's traditional arts and technological innovation.
