On March 30, the Science Fiction Game Industry Development Conference of the China Science Fiction Convention 2025 was held at Shougang Park in Shijingshan District, Beijing, under the theme "Exploring New Universes in Science Fiction Games: Integration and Breakthroughs of Technologies, Creativity, and Markets". The conference is aimed at facilitating industrial cooperation and industrial experience sharing, with several industrial policies released. Through these endeavors, the conference strives to promote the deep integration between the science fiction and game industries, explore the application of cutting-edge technologies in science fiction games, tap into the potential of science fiction to drive game innovation, build cooperative channels for upstream and downstream entities, facilitate efficient resource integration, and promote the smooth implementation of related projects.
The Measures of Shijingshan District for Supporting High-Quality Development of Game and E-Sports Industries (Trial) was released.
At the conference, the Measures of Shijingshan District for Supporting High-Quality Development of Game and E-Sports Industries (Trial) (the Measures for short) was released. According to the Measures, Shijingshan will leverage policies to attract high-quality game and e-sports enterprises, along with their relevant projects, to settle in the district, to pool industrial development resources for industrial clustering. The game and e-sports industries will receive support to achieve growth.
At the same time, through support for enterprises' investment in fields like R&D of key technologies, construction of innovation platforms, and development of original works, the district aims to enhance the quality and standard of industrial development, promote the deep integration of the game and e-sports industries with fields such as technology and culture, and construct an industrial layout centered around Shougang Park with collaborative interaction across multiple regions. All these efforts are for the development of a distinctive, well-structured, and dynamic national benchmark within the game and e-sports industries.
At the conference, the Beijing Science Fiction and Game Industry Incubation Innovation Center was officially inaugurated, which was jointly established by the Shijingshan District People's Government and the Beijing Publishing Copyright Association. The innovation center will focus on key aspects such as technology engines, content production, game distribution, and commercialization of copyrighted works, to further promote the integrated, innovative and clustered growth. Volcengine, China Telecom (Beijing Branch), Shougang Construction Investment Co., Ltd., and Shoucheng Rongshi, among other companies, signed agreements with the Western Beijing Game Creative Industry Alliance. They will provide support to the alliance's members in terms of technology, overseas market expansion, event hosting, and business establishment and localization, among others.
