On January 5, the 2026 Beijing AI Innovation Hub Development Advancement Conference unveiled the action plan for building Beijing into an AI innovation hub. Over the next two years, the core AI industry of the capital city is anticipated to exceed 1 trillion yuan in value, positioning the city as a global leader in AI innovation with strong technological R&D capacity and industrial competitiveness.

At the conference, the launch of Beijing's AI Innovation Blocks was officially announced. The first batch includes four blocks:

- Haidian AI Origin Community (海淀原点社区)

- Magic World (模数世界) of Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area

- Optics & AI Space (光智空间) of Chaoyang District

- Shijingshan Cultural Tech Nexus (石景山文化智境)

Highlighting "Cultural-Intelligent Symbiosis and Holistic Revitalization", Shijingshan District is developing the Cultural Tech Nexus with foci on eight key directions of cultural integration and innovation. The project will establish a pilot "super scenarios" testbed and a distinctive "AI + Culture" innovation cluster. The district also plans to develop an accelerator for AI-culture integration, a full-scenario testbed for AI applications in the cultural sector, a core node of the network for the agglomeration of AI-related industries, and a model demonstration zone for smart living in future cities.

Located in the north area of Shougang Park and the area surrounding Jin'an China Overseas Fortune Center, the Cultural Tech Nexus covers a total area of 0.4 square kilometers. It will further link and expand to related areas including Moshikou Historical and Cultural Experience Demonstration Zone, the Beijing Banking and Insurance Business Park, and the Shougang Park area of the "Two Parks and One River" region (i.e. the Beijing Garden Expo Park, Shougang Park and the Yongding River).
