To boost the development of the Beijing Future Digital Space Innovation Experimental Zone, Shijingshan District has recently rolled out two themed incubation hubs: AIOPC Galaxy (themed on "AI + Sci-Fi") and Yao Community (themed on "AI + Gaming"). The two hubs shape a full-chain commercial ecosystem for OPCs (one-person companies) spanning product design, R&D, and commercialization, stimulating grassroots innovation and entrepreneurship under the "one person, one machine" model. Up to now, 18 enterprises have settled in the two hubs.
Catering to the asset-light and highly flexible operational traits of OPC startups, the district offers comprehensive supporting facilities including nearly 10,000 square meters of low-rent office premises, coaching services and computing power support. Backed by a 200-million-yuan fund focusing on early-stage ventures, micro-enterprises and hard-tech projects, it provides diversified financial incentives such as research grants, startup subsidies and technology commercialization bonuses, building a full-chain support system covering project launch, incubation, financing and commercialization of research outcomes.
Shared laboratories and AIGC co-working workshops have been established. Powered by AI agents from the Volcano Engine AI team, the incubation hubs greatly shorten startup cycles and lower the marginal cost of code development. By leveraging local technical resources such as industrial large-model service platforms and plenoptic light field technology, the district provides full-lifecycle technical infrastructure and out-of-the-box AI toolkits for OPC entrepreneurs in the sci-fi and gaming sectors. These moves eliminate technical barriers for independent creators and innovators.
A dedicated service counter for OPC registration has been set up at the district's government service center, delivering one-stop services covering business registration, finance, taxation, legal consultation, intellectual property management and policy application. A team of specialist service officers delivers full-lifecycle, concierge-style support throughout the processes for setting up. To cut housing costs for innovators, a tiered housing support scheme has been put in place: seven days of free accommodation for job seekers, three months of free housing for entrepreneurs and practitioners, and preferential long-term rental rates for leases of three years and longer. With over 1,300 talent apartments available, the district fosters a 15-minute community life circle suitable for both living and business activities.
