Recently, Beijing's first district-level comprehensive service counter for handling applications for game publication licenses was officially put into operation at the Shijingshan District Government Service Center.

As the first district-level service counter of its kind in the city, it will better serve local game enterprises and empower the innovative development of the district's game and e-sports industry. It represents a key initiative by Shijingshan District to improve the full industry chain of the game and e-sports industry and enhance its capacity to pool the industry's resources.
In 2025, Shijingshan District issued the Measures of Shijingshan District for Supporting High-Quality Development of Game and E-Sports Industry (Trial), providing comprehensive support to the game and e-sports enterprises in 14 domains, including key technology R&D, innovation platform development, and incubation services.
All relevant district-level authorities have coordinated and collaborated to jointly build a high-quality service system for the industry. Focusing on issues of common concern to game enterprises, such as intellectual property protection, financial support, and talent attraction, they have established diversified service models, including consultation, training, visits, and ongoing support. The game enterprises in the district have taken the initiative to jointly establish the Western Beijing Game Creative Industry Alliance. Through deepening cooperation among all sides, the alliance promotes an ecosystem-driven approach to empowering industrial development, attracts more high-quality game enterprises and creators to gather and establish themselves in Shijingshan, and builds an "industrial ecosystem" for businesses.
Data shows that the annual comprehensive revenue of the district's game and e-sports industry has surpassed 20 billion yuan, with 128 upstream and downstream enterprises now located in the district. These businesses cover the entire spectrum of the industry, from game R&D, publishing, and distribution to e-sports events and derivative live-streaming services, reflecting a high-density, fully integrated industrial ecosystem. The thriving growth of the game and e-sports industry has driven the revenue of the district's cultural and related sectors to surpass 190 billion yuan, which ranks the district third in the city in this regard.
