On the evening of June 18, the launch ceremony of the 2023 Beijing Digital Economy Experience Week and Digital Consumption Festival kicked off in Shougang Park. A variety of activities are offered on-site, including the panoramic appreciation of over 700 masterpieces by Vincent van Gogh and immersive interactions with diverse metaverse-powered technologies. The event aims to present various digital economy scenarios, introduce digital celebrities to the public for the first time, and bring new performances for all visitors.
The Digital Economy Experience Week comprises a series of activities, including cycling and competitions supported by VR devices and experiencing intelligent fitness equipment. Additionally, some communities, scenic spots, and business districts in Beijing have set up exhibition areas for digital sports, showcasing the latest digital sports equipment to the public.
The Digital Economy Experience Week has organized research and study activities for digital science popularization and held an open day for digital scenarios. The event has also launched eight featured research and field trip routes for science popularization, such as the Beijing Municipal Administrative Center route and the Haidian District route, enabling visitors to explore 25 scientific innovation venues engaged in different sectors such as smart city and AI. Beijing's most trendy and innovative landmarks will be selected to welcome visitors during the event. Featured theme activities, such as the Digital Economy Carnival, will also be organized in different districts in the city.
Furthermore, the First China Digital Music Concert will take place on July 4. The upcoming music concert will bring together top digital celebrities on the stage and provide the audience with brand new performances that are carried out based on the combination of physical stage and virtual reality technology as well as cooperation between on-site singers and digital figures. The concert will serve as a platform to encourage the audience to push the limits of imagination and cast our eyes on the future horizon of the digital economy.
