Big Air Shougang, a competition venue of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games located in Shijingshan District of Beijing, has launched pre-game closed-loop management in advance on January 1 to better cooperate with the second time snow molding and other work, indicating the start of Games-time operation of the venue team.

At present, the first stage of snow making at the main body of the ramp has been completed. After the launch of closed-loop management, some staff of the venue sports and mountain operation team will enter the closed loop in advance, and cooperate with foreign experts further in snow making, second time molding and snow storage.

In order to launch closed-loop management in advance, the venue team has vigorously promoted the construction of temporary facilities, image landscaping of the venue, and installation of guide signs, while completing the comprehensive disinfection and nucleic acid sampling work in the closed-loop area. In strict accordance with the second edition of the Playbook that outlines COVID-19 countermeasures for Beijing 2022, the closed-loop management features "whole process, full closure and point-to-point measures" to ensure smooth operation and personnel safety. In addition, the venue team will enhance communication and interaction with the International Olympic Committee to make operational arrangements and provide quality services.

In order to ensure security and convenient transportation outside the venue, Shijingshan District has coordinated with relevant departments providing strong support for the transportation, transfer and accommodation of foreign experts.

In order to better boost morale, the venue team of Big Air Shougang held a special ceremony for launching all the work. Song Shiyuan, director of the venue, presented the Chinese character "Fu" ("happiness" in English) and Spring Festival couplets to all the staff members after a short mobilization. Moreover, the first group of staff who entered the closed loop and their families received special gifts. At the same time, the venue team also sent New Year greetings to foreign experts who entered the closed-loop hotel by giving them "Fu" and other souvenirs including venue stamps.
