During the holiday, seven attractions including Shijingshan Amusement Park, Badachu Park, Moshikou Historical and Cultural Block, Shougang Park, Beijing International Sculpture Park, Fahai Temple, and Tiantai Camp saw a total of 949,300 visits, an increase by 58.37 percent over the same period in 2023, while the comprehensive revenue increased by 29.2 percent, both reaching historical highs.

During the National Day holiday, 10 accommodation establishments in Beijing, including Wanda Realm Beijing, Mercure Wanshang Beijing, Holiday Inn Beijing Shijingshan Parkview, Shangri-la Shougang Park Beijing, Yinbao Jianguo Hotel, Huabei Hotel, Jingyan Hotel, Holiday Inn Express Beijing Shijingshan Lakeview, Holiday Inn Express Beijing Shijingshan Parkview, and Hanting Hotel (Taiwan Street), received a total of 4,393 new guests and had 13,901 guests staying, generating a total revenue of CNY 6.9529 million.
The WTT China Smash 2024 started on September 26, with a total of approximately 131,000 spectators attending the event, including 73,000 indoor spectators and over 58,000 spectators at the Smash Park. The popularity of the WTT Grand Smash events in China has made Shougang Park a highly popular tourist destination during the National Day holiday, ranking among top ten in terms of number of visitors among 215 key monitored tourist attractions in Beijing. Specifically, Shougang Park recorded 448,000 visits, representing a 75-percent increase compared with 2023. Moreover, consumption amount within the park rose by approximately 61 percent over the same period in 2023.
During the holiday, representative scenic areas in Shijingshan launched new activities, providing unforgettable touring experiences for visitors. The "Relax Hi!" Camel Bell Music Carnival at Moshikou Historical and Cultural Block brought together laughter and melodies, while the Bell Market offered delicious snacks and artisan cultural products. At the Happy Autumn Carnival in Shijingshan Amusement Park, visitors witnessed the fusion of water and fire at the "Water Dance Show of Fire Kettle and Molten Iron", and had fun at over 50 amusement facilities. The "Colorful Shijing Fairy Mountain Garden Party" launched on Shijing Mountain is still ongoing, with the "Divine Beast" (a copyrighted character) leading everyone to see lanterns, admire the moon, and climb high to appreciate the scenery, bringing new Chinese-style night tours full of fun. Xishan Greenway (Shijingshan Park section) has opened for trial operation, offering the best choice for getting close to nature and relaxing one's mind and body. Themed "Beautiful Scenery on Xishan Hill: A Tribute to Chinese Red", the 11th Xishan Badachu Cultural Festival took people back to that revolutionary periods of passion and fervor of Chinese history.
Cultural Activities with Rich Experiences
From October 1 to 7, Shijingshan District Cultural Center recorded 5,978 visits, while the Library of Shijingshan District saw 25,564 visits. Shijingshan District rolled out 70 public cultural activities in 84 sessions across various public facilities at three levels, with 5,260 participants from the general public.
Shijingshan District Cultural Center invited professional troupes such as the China Broadcasting Chinese Orchestra, Beijing Chinese Orchestra, China Oriental Performing Arts Group, China Pingju Opera Theatre to present Chinese folk music, situational music plays, and Pingju opera. The 12th Intangible Cultural Heritage Experience Week at the Beijing International Sculpture Park brought a variety of activities such as an intangible cultural heritage fair, interactive sessions involving handicrafts, and intangible cultural creativity exhibitions. Visitors also enjoyed wonderful parent-child time through educational and interesting "cultural and museum tours" at Moshikou which is home to Fahai Temple and many distinctive museums such as Fahai Temple Mural Art Center, Shijingshan District Stone Carving Museum, and the China Quaternary Glacial Relics Exhibition Hall. The Library of Shijingshan District not only organized reading activities but also allowed readers to experience the charm of traditional Chinese culture through handcraft DIY classes, calligraphy classes, and traditional knot-making classes. At Chong Art Museum, the "Zhidao-Youyi" exhibition allowed visitors to discover the breadth and depth of contemporary Chinese art.
From international events to cultural experiences, from ancient charm to modern vitality, this National Day holiday, Shijingshan provided visitors with unforgettable holiday feasts through combining rich cultural, commercial, travel, and sports experiences.
