On April 22, the 2025 Badachu Book Fair (Spring) officially opened under the theme "Fragrant Books in Shijingshan, Tea Aroma in Badachu". Running through May 5, visitors are invited to enjoy a springtime stroll through Badachu, where they can not only hike the hills but also browse books to feel the cultural vibe of Beijing.

This year's book fair offers a wide range of categories, including discounted books, new releases, and bestsellers. More than 30 publishers, publishing companies, and specialty bookstores have joined forces to create the "Premium Books and Cultural Creativity Exhibition Area", featuring major works in literature, social sciences, popular science, and children's literature, with on-site discounts starting from 50-percent off. A dedicated thematic activity zone has been set up, where multiple reading and cultural events will be held on weekends and during the Labor Day holiday (May 1 to 5). The book fair also partners with the Beijing Xinhua Bookstore's online platform to launch live-streaming sessions, offering a variety of cultural reading sessions and book discounts. In addition, the Beijing Xinhua Bookstore has specially produced 50,000 copies of the check-in map for the book fair. The map features the natural and cultural landmarks of Badachu. Visitors can also collect unique check-in stamps for cross-over experiences combining reading and park touring.

At the book fair, visitors can also indulge in local snacks and purchase creative souvenirs with local features. Highlights include co-branded cultural items such as refrigerator magnets whose design is inspired by Empress Xiaojing's phoenix crown, panda-themed cultural creations, and a series of book-themed creative products, jointly exhibited by the Beijing Xinhua Bookstore. In the "Hundred-Meter Float Exhibition Zone", nearly 50 groups of premium books and cultural products are showcased. Additionally, the fair brings together creative cultural souvenirs, specialty snacks, and beverages from Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei, seamlessly integrating multiple industries to offer visitors fully immersive cultural consumption experiences.
