Recently, the overall construction of Phase II of Yong Ding He Ji (also known as "Yongding River Market"), a key supporting facility for the 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), has been completed. The project is poised for its official debut during the fair. So far, brand contracts for all nine commercial outlets have been finalized. The holistic landscape amenities, outdoor leisure platforms and waterfront promenades have been fully completed.

Located south of the Winter Olympics Ring and stretching along the Yongding River southwards to the New Shougang Bridge, the facility is an extension of the Phase I project, providing comprehensive supporting services for the 2026 CIFTIS. Upon commissioning, Phase I and Phase II will be seamlessly connected to form an integrated waterfront commercial cluster, giving shape to a world-class dynamic riverside area in western Beijing.

Phase II covers a total land area of 1,812 square meters and a floor area of 944 square meters, with nine standalone commercial units planned along the river. The project also included the revamping and upgrading of public installations and the construction of a dedicated 500-square-meter pet-friendly camp for socializing. Functional spaces such as service centers have been arranged here, creating a continuous 1.6-kilometer waterfront commercial riverside belt and a full-fledged waterfront commercial cluster. Its functions for business receptions, cultural experiences and outdoor sports will be enhanced.

In terms of planning and design, Phase II follows the core design ethos of "industrial charm blended with natural beauty". Spatial quality has been upgraded to new heights. Specially tailored for CIFTIS delegates from around the world, it now has dedicated tour routes alongside zones for negotiation and rest. The site has earned its place as an officially-endorsed stop featuring green development on the CIFTIS tour itinerary, fully presenting the whole-process practice of ecological restoration and value transformation of the Yongding River.

Yong Ding He Ji (Phase II) adopts a business mix of 65-percent catering offerings, 25-percent retail outlets and 10-percent public service amenities. All nine key brands have taken up their premises. Brand curation balances local cultural nuances, outdoor-centric features and outreach potential, with every venue showcasing one-of-a-kind highlights.

Once CIFTIS gets underway, Yong Ding He Ji will launch supporting thematic events including an art season, an exhibition of creativity, a leisure bazaar, nature-oriented study sessions and outdoor lifestyle events. A sports-themed carnival will make its debut for the WTT China Smash (coming this October).

Across the Phase I area, the national premiere of Pop Mart's 1001MOONS Wind's Intention Series was launched in May and will remain on view until October. It delivers a chic experience that fuses copyrighted trendy toys with natural vistas and remnants of industrial heritage.
