Speech Recognition for Ticket Purchasing Available in Beijing's Two Airport Expresses
The Capital Airport Express and Daxing Airport Express have installed ticket vending machines equipped with speech recognition. Passengers in any station of the two Express lines can purchase tickets by telling the machine their destinations. The machines will recognize the voice information and automatically show the price. The integrated ticket vending machine can recognize voice information such as the number of tickets and the name of the destination quickly and precisely even in a noisy environment. The machine boasts an recognition accuracy higher than 98 percent and a millisecond-level responsiveness. The average time for passengers to choose their destinations is cut from 15 seconds to 1.6 seconds.
Route planning through speech recognition is also available for passengers. The system of the machine can recommend subway stations within 1.5 km from the destination named by the passengers and provide up to five automatically planned routes for passengers to choose from. If any station of the Daxing Airport Express is included in the recommended route, passengers can directly purchase a ticket for it.
Purchasing Tickets with E-CNY in Beijing Subway
Beijing Subway accepts e-CNY for purchasing tickets and Yikatong (Beijing Municipal Administration & Communication Card), paying for ticket extensions, topping up travel cards, and purchasing tickets via the app "Yitongxing". In addition to cash or e-payment, e-CNY is also accepted when purchasing tickets via ticket vending machines. After selecting the destination, passengers can choose to use e-CNY to pay for the ticket. The screen of the ticket vending machine will show the purchase details and a QR code for the payment.
How to buy a ticket using e-CNY:
Open the e-CNY app and click "scan to pay" in the upper right corner. Scan the QR code and enter your password to complete the payment. You can check your e-CNY balance in the wallet of the app. The ticket vending machine will deliver the ticket to you immediately. The whole purchasing process takes no more than 30 seconds. Paying by e-CNY is equivalent to a payment done by cash or a third party, making it easy and convenient.
Passengers who have downloaded the e-CNY app can purchase tickets and Yikatong, pay for ticket extensions and top up cards with e-CNY at manual ticketing counters, ticket vending machines, self-service machines for ticket extension and topping-up, and Internet ticketing machines to handle such services on all 24 lines and 428 subway stations in Beijing.
