DAY 1:

10:00 Arrive at the Moshikou Historical and Cultural Block
 
There are many ancient streets and alleys in Beijing, but rarely one so distinctive as those in Moshikou Historical and Cultural Block. In the block, the Moshikou Street with hundreds of years of history stretches from east to west over 1,500 meters. Walking into this place feels like watching ancient history and modern life collide.
 
 
11:00 Visit the Fahai Temple murals
 
Founded in the fourth year of Zhengtong reign (1439) in the Ming Dynasty, the Fahai Temple joins Dunhuang and Yongle Palace as one of the big three mural art treasure houses. The murals in the temple are recognized as the best of the Ming Dynasty and are also the oldest and best-preserved in Beijing. There are ten complete murals painted during the Ming Dynasty, which cover a total area of 236.7 sqm and feature 77 figures.
 
 
12:30 A visit to China Quaternary Glacial Relics Exhibition Hall
 
The China Quaternary Glacial Relics Exhibition Hall consists of 11 exhibition halls and one relics hall. It is the only natural science museum built on glacial relics from the Quaternary Period in China and all of Asia.
 
 
14:00 Enjoy some delicacies from the Fahai Fried Mochi Cake King and Huizhen Kitchen
 
The fried mochi cakes have a crisp crust and tender stuffing and are sweet without being greasy. The fried mochi cake is an essential part of any childhood memory for someone from the Shijingshan District. As a restaurant serving creative Anhui-styled cuisines, Huizhen Kitchen is the first restaurant introduced by the Moshikou Historical and Cultural Block to offer private home dishes. 16:00 Visit the Jingxi Old School, Good Time Space, and Fandeng Bookstore

When visiting Jingxi Old School, you may feel that you traveled back to the 1980s. Some of the various folk cultural products include traditional Chinese rabbit ear caps and rabbit shoes. Visitors can also experience the fun of DIY there.
 
In the Good Time Space, visitors can make friends with some adorable cats. Cat lovers are also known to come here to share their knowledge of raising cats.
 
Being in the Fandeng Bookstore is like reading in your own study at home. Pick up your favorite book and find a comfortable place to escape the busy world for a while.
 
 
 
18:00 Check in at the Jing No.199 Yard
 
Jing No.199 Yard was previously a traditional siheyuan with preserved valuable old houses and doorways and newly-added luxurious modern installations.
 
 
 
DAY 2:

10:00 The visit starts at the Jingxi Bookstore
 
Jingxi Bookstore is set in a glass structure that integrates modern and classic features. Visitors can find books related to literature, biography, film and music among others, in addition to children's books.
 
 
11:00 Visit Cheng'en Temple - Beijing Eight Imperial Handicrafts Museum
 
Known as the most mysterious temple in Beijing, the Cheng'en Temple has a rigorous design and consists of halls such as the Shanmen Hall, Tianwang Hall, Mahavira Hall, and Lecture Hall. At present, it serves as the Beijing Eight Imperial Handicrafts Museum, which displays objects of intangible cultural heritage in cloisonn , jade, and Beijing embroidery among others.

14:00 Visit the Shijingshan District Stone Carving Cultural Relics Park
 
The Shijingshan District Stone Carving Cultural Relics Park is built on the tomb of Tian Yi. It is the best-preserved Ming Dynasty eunuch tomb, has been designed to the highest standards, and features the most exquisite stone carvings. There are a great number of precious stone carvings and stone sculptures showcasing the wisdom of ancient craftsmen.
