2024-11-12 | english.bjsjs.gov.cn |
The museum covers an area of about 6,000 square meters and houses a total of 264 pieces and sets of cultural relics. It is divided into three sections: an indoor exhibition area, a scattered stone carving exhibition area, and the Tian Yi's Tomb area.

The indoor exhibition area displays representative stone carvings selected from hundreds of relics from museum collections. Based on the characteristics of the relics, it is divided into five exhibition rooms in the form of thematic exhibitions.

At the entrance of the scattered stone carving exhibition area stands an imposing stone archway. The northern corridor displays epitaphs of royal and noble families from the Tang Dynasty (starting in 618) through the Qing Dynasty (ending in 1912). The southern side and the square present a large number of exquisite stone carvings from the Liao (starting in 916) and Jin (starting in 1115) dynasties through the Republic of China era (ending in 1949).

The Tian Yi's Tomb area is the cemetery of Tian Yi, a eunuch who held the seal of the Imperial Ceremonial Court during the Wanli period (1573-1620) of the Ming Dynasty. It is currently the highest-grade and best-preserved eunuch cemetery discovered in China. The stone carvings and buildings in the cemetery are extremely distinctive, possessing very high academic, cultural relic, and artistic values.
