Recently, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism hosted the launch ceremony of the 2023 Beijing-Zhangjiakou Ice and Snow Cultural Tourism Season and the Promotion Event for the Ice and Snow Tourism Resources along the Beijing-Zhangjiakou Sports and Cultural Tourism Belt.
During the event, the Shijingshan District Culture and Tourism Bureau unveiled five ice and snow-themed routes, inviting citizens to enjoy winter activities in Shijingshan.
Route 1
The route encompasses the Shijingshan Citizen Ice and Snow Sports Center, Langyuan PARK, and Taiwan Street. Visitors can enjoy ice shows, learn figure skating, ice hockey, and more at the Shijingshan Citizen Ice and Snow Sports Center. From December 22 to 24, Langyuan Park will host a Poetry Life Festival.
Route 2
Fully experiencing the trendy charm of Shougang Park. Visitors can enter Shougang Park, ascend the Big Air Shougang, stroll into the Chang'An Mills to enjoy a leisurely life, and indulge in afternoon tea and buffets at the Shangri-La Hotel. Shougang Park's Ice and Snow Carnival continues this year, welcoming visitors of all ages.
Route 3
The route includes Gaojing Road Winter Olympics Community in Guangning Sub-district, Moshikou Historical and Cultutal Block, and Shijingshan District Cultural Center. Guangning Sub-district has created an ice and snow playground with activities like snow circle tracks and ice biking. In Moshikou Historical and Cultutal Block, visitors can explore places like Jingxi Bookstore, Xia'er Art Life Hall, Fahai Temple Mural Art Center, Stone Carving Relics Museum, and China Quaternary Glacial Vestige Exhibition Hall. The Shijingshan District Cultural Center will host art exhibitions, concerts, and other activities during New Year's holiday.
Route 4
The route covers Shijingshan Amusement Park, Snow World at Shijingshan Stadium, and Children's Library in the Library of Shijingshan District. Shijingshan Amusement Park will introduce a new ice and snow free play area and present exciting performances with all-inclusive passes. Shijingshan Stadium's Snow World offers various ice and snow experience activities.
Route 5
The route includes Banshan Flower Sea Ice and Snow Paradise, Cishan Temple, and Jingxi Wulituo Folk-custom Exhibition Hall. Banshan Flower Sea Ice and Snow Paradise features facilities like a snow slide and snow houses. At Cishan Temple, visitors can learn the story of ancient incense tracks. Jingxi Wulituo Folk-custom Exhibition Hall offers a taste of local delicacies.
Additionally, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism introduced eight routes for the 2023/2024 Beijing-Zhangjiakou Ice and Snow Cultural Tourism Season, with Shijingshan's "China Quaternary Glacial Vestige Exhibition Hall - Moshikou Street - Shougang Park (Shougang Park Ice and Snow Carnival, Chang'An Mills)" selected as part of the routes.
