The opening ceremony will be held at the No. 1 Blast Furnace - SoReal Science Fiction Paradise in Shougang Park, a place fully embodying the organic integration of traditional industrial relics and futuristic sci-fi scenes. During the opening ceremony, the China Science Fiction Research Center and the Research Center for Science and Human Imagination of the Southern University of Science and Technology will jointly release the 2024 China Sci-fi Industry Report. Well-known sci-fi writers, directors, and companies will jointly launch the China Sci-fi Industry Development Initiative. The list of award-winning works of the 12th "Light Year Award" in Beijing Sci-fi Creation and Innovation Competition will also be announced. The Sci-fi Film Industry Research Institute and the Sci-fi Alliance of Universities will be inaugurated. Additionally, the championship ceremony for the 2nd Science Fiction Planet Awards will be held.
